The Reg Cole Quartet
The Reg Cole Quartet is an original jazz/soul/latin outfit which formed in the mid-90s while its members Zac, Sergio, George, Tim and Justin were all studying at Melbourne University Conservatorium. They were regulars at venues like The Uptop, the Nightcat and released a number of recordings. The guys are recording an album of new tunes which they’ll be performing alongside some of their more popular pieces from the 90s. RCQ are regular performers at venues such as Palais Hepburn, and Paris Cat Jazz Club and recently performed at the Flinders Fringe Festival to great reviews. RCQ traverse genres in a way that is rare but also maintains a cohesive and distinctive sound cultivating a style that draws on jazz influences and the accessibility and fun of pop.
